Obituary of Joe Tudda
Giuseppe Tudda born December 12, 1934, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, January 6, 2006.
Giuseppe came to Calgary in the summer of 1954 and worked for the City of Calgary. After many years with them he went on to start his infamous career in the restaurant business with Stromboli Inn in 1972. Today Calgary lost one of it’s famed restaurateur (Stromboli Inn and Villa Firenze). He will always be loved and remembered. Giuseppe was blessed with a very large family that consisted of many brothers and sisters-in-laws as well as nieces and nephews, who were all touched by his special care and love. Giuseppe is survived by his beloved wife Teresa Tudda, loving children and six grandchildren, Pina Nicastro (Joe), Peter, Marianne Spoletini (Tom), and Domenic; grandchildren, Lisa (Aaron), Tony, Laura, Theresa of Italy, Thomas and Stefanna. He is also survived by his two loving sisters, Elma Staffa (Domenico) and Rosina Perrone (Artillio) of Germany; a loving brother, Pasquale (Nilda) of Italy; sister-in-law, Caterina (Vittorio) Caracciolo. He was predeceased by his two brothers Francesco (Elma), Domenico (Angela) and nephew Peter Staffa.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (Corner of Northmount Drive & Northland Drive N.W.) on Monday, January 9, 2006 at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (Corner of Northmount Drive & Northland Drive N.W.) on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Inocencio C.
