Obituary of Mary Kopeck

Mary Kopeck passed away peacefully at Carewest George Boyack on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at the age of 87 years. Mary was born on May 3, 1918 at Sturgis, SK. She will be lovingly remembered by her family. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Elaine and Don Lischka of Calgary, Donna McVety of Devon, AB; son and daughter-in-law Bob and Joey Kopeck of Surrey, BC; sister Allie Polupski; six grandchildren Lorelie and her husband Jeff Gordon, Sandy and her husband Jack Alley, Grant Lischka, and Darrell Lischka and his wife Angie, Scott McVety and Amanda McVety, six great-grandchildren Jayme, Joel and Trevor Gordon, Lauren Alley, Andrew Kowalchuk, Rebecca Lischka. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband of sixty-nine years, Walter on July 13, 2005; her parents John and Annie Toderash, great-grandson, Jarrett Alley age thirteen; sisters Dolly Sopunik, Verna Mentanko, Elsie Yaremchuk, Lena Babych, Lila Hunchak; brothers George, Bill, Mike, Nick and Harry Toderash. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (Corner of 4th Street and Northmount Drive N.W.) on Monday, January 9, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Raul Ranola, Presider.
