Obituary of Herminia Evanson

Minnie Evanson, beloved mother, loving grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully at McKenzie Care Centre on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at the age of 83. Minnie was born in Russia, moved to Bittern Lake, AB as a small child, and raised her family in the community of Altadore, Calgary since 1956. Minnie will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Gordon, Don (Jacquie), Delores (Dennis) Youde, and Douglas (Diane); and six grandchildren, James, Jeanine (Amit) Arora, Stuart, Patrick, Suzanne, and Christopher. Minnie is survived by her sisters, Lydia and Anne, and brothers Art and Howard. A Celebration of Minnie’s life will be held at McInnis & Holloway’s Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. As per Minnie’s wishes, guests are asked to wear bright cheerful attire.
