Obituary of Loree Claire Adam

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Loree Claire Adam (nee Fletcher) wish to announce her passing on Sunday morning, January 1, 2006. Loree passed away peacefully early in the morning after a twenty year long battle with cancer. Her loving husband of fifty-five years, Bill Adam, was at her side as she passed on into heaven. In her career she worked at the University of Calgary in the Library Block from 1968 to 1984 until her retirement. She served for a short term on the University Senate as the Support Staff representative. In her retirement she loved drives through Kananaskis, shopping for antiques and garage sales. She was the devoted and adored wife of Bill Adam; the loving mother of David (Irene) Adam and Jamie (Margaret) Adam; and a loyal friend to all who had the privilege to know her. Loree was born in Calgary, AB on February 22, 1929 at the Holy Cross Hospital to her parents Amy May Loree Fletcher and Erland James Fletcher of Drumheller, AB. She was predeceased by her mother and father as well as her sister Margaret and brother James.
