Obituary of Benjamin Dixon

Frank Dixon, beloved husband of Mrs. Dolores E. Dixon of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 31, 2005 at the age of 80 years after a brief illness. Besides his loving wife, Frank is survived by his four children and their spouses, Brenda and Bob Comtois, Diane and Jim Sanden, Frank Dixon, and Joanne and Bob Mitchell; nine grandchildren, Shane, Carrie, Tom, Tyler, Leah, Trenton, Karl, Ian, and Keith; and two great-grandchildren, Carter and Kaitlyn. He is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Betty Anderson, Phylliss Anderson, and Arlie Tracy; as well as nieces and nephews. Frank was a WWII veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy and a valuable employee of the C.P.R. for his entire working life. He also spent several years in Indonesia with C.P. Consulting Services. The family sincerely thank all the caring staff at the Foothills Medical Centre. A Celebration of Frank’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Friday, January 6, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
