Obituary of Barbara Schwengler

Barbara Schwengler (Silbernagel) of Calgary, formerly of Beiseker, AB, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2005 at the age of 97 years. Barbara is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Gerald and Joyce Silbernagel of Calgary; two daughters and a son-in-law, Delores McGowan of Vancouver, BC and Marilyn and Jack Matthisen of Anchorage, AK; sixteen grandchildren; as well as her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers and a sister-in-law, Baltser and Ruth Schmaltz of Airdrie, AB and George Schmaltz of Edmonton, AB; numerous nieces and nephews; and other family members. She was predeceased by her husband Stephen Silbernagel in 1965; her second husband Anton Schwengler in 1997; two daughters, Sheryl Silbernagel and Eva and her husband Raymond Hagel; son Clarence Silbernagel; and son-in-law Donald McGowan.
