Obituary of Helena Eamer

It is with deep sadness the family of Helena Eamer announces her passing on Sunday, December 25, 2005 to become our Christmas Angel. Helena leaves her loving family, Carol (David Fergus), Richard and Deborah (Dwayne Paynton) and grandchildren Mark, Jessica, Tyler and Amanda. Esther Helena Waterston of Scottish heritage, was born in Winteringham, England. She served as a WAC during WWII. Helena and Geoffrey married in 1948, raised their family in Lancing, Sussex, and moved to Calgary in July 1966. She worked and had many friends at Simpson Sears, Foothills Hospital and Grace Hospital. Her final years were spent at the Wentworth Manor and Brentwood Care Centre, where she made many new friends and was the “Queen of Bingo”. Funeral Services will be held at MCINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Graham Goode of St. Phillips Anglican Church, Presider. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family thanks Dr’s LaBrie and Eisner and the staff of unit 61 at Foothills Hospital (especially Ed and Venus) for their compassionate care of Mum.
