Obituary of Jac Friedenberg

It is with regret that we announce the passing of Jac Friedenberg who is remembered as a beloved father, husband, grandfather and friend on Saturday, December 24, 2005 at the age of 95 years. Jac was born on September 10, 1910 in Dresden, Germany. He was a life member of the Calgary Musicians’ Association and past president of the Calgary Downtown Lions Club. He came to Canada as a teenager and made Alberta his home. He had a long, wonderful career as a musician and artist. Jac is survived by his loving wife Margaret (Riddell) and her sons, Rick, Spencer and Mark; as well as his children, Audrey (Thomas), Eric (Lillian), Brent (Andrea), Neil, Tina (Karl); eleven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his mother, brother and his first wife Wilma (Scott).
