Obituary of Gail Grant
It is with great sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing of Gail Grant on Monday, December 19, 2005 at the High River Hospital, after a short illness at the age of 70 years.
Gail was born, on August 26, 1935 in Winnipeg, MB and in 1950 she met Jerry at a dance in Victoria Beach, MB. They continued their “dance” together when they married in 1955 and moved to Nelson, BC. Gail and Jerry eventually retired settling in High River, AB. Gail had a great love for crafts, such as needlepoint and her famous “teddy bears”. She enjoyed her beloved dog, Kelly her…”baby”.
Gail leaves to cherish her many memories, her husband and soul mate of over fifty years, Jerry Grant. Also missing her dearly are her loving sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Bonnie Grant, of Calgary and their children, Rob, Kimberlee, and Ryan; Michael and Karen Grant, of San Diego, Ca and their children, Stacey (Russ), Michelle, and Steven; as well as her mother, Dorothy Cascadden, of Calgary; and her brother and sister-in-law Michael and Sally Donally, of Windsor, ON, and their children Ryan and Sarah. Gail was predeceased by her father John Donally in 1976.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family wishes to thank Dr. Steven Finnegan and the incredible nursing staff of the High River Hospital (unit 300), who were all so helpful and giving throughout Gail’s illness.
