Obituary of Jack Goertzen

Jack Goertzen, beloved husband of Vera, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at the age of 87 years. Jack was born on June 19, 1918 in Herbert, SK. He lived in Swift Current, SK in his younger years and moved to Calgary in 1969 working for Calgary Coop until his retirement in 1983. Besides Vera, his loving wife of sixty-seven years, Jack is survived by his son Jim Goertzen; and his daughter and son-in-law Bette and Ron Lewis, all of Calgary; as well as six grandchildren, Kelly, Karen, Wade, Marnie, Tara, and Craig; and one great-grandchild Joshua. Jack was predeceased by his daughter-in-law Roberta Goertzen in 1996; his parents; and eleven siblings. Funeral Services will be held at MCINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, December 16, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
