Obituary of Bert Taylor

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Bert Taylor, on Saturday, December 10, 2005 at the age of 74 years. Bert grew up in Namure, PQ before moving to Kingston, ON in 1956 where he worked in C.I.L. text mills for twenty-three years. He moved to Calgary in 1979 and joined the Oil Industry in Northern Alberta until 1982 when he began working at the Westgate Hotel in Calgary. In 1985 he became Manager of an apartment complex where he worked for sixteen years before retiring in 2001. Besides his loving wife and best friend Julia, Bert is survived by three sons, Ron, Bruce (Sheila), and Eric (Wendy), all of Kingston, ON; seven step-children, Keith (Cindy) Hickman, Bruce (Patricia) Hickman, Janet (Randy) Aikins, Judy Hickman (Darren Dickson), Colleen (Andrew) Smith, Louise Davey, and Lorie (Desmond) White, all of Calgary; and eighteen grandchildren.
