Anne Boyer

Obituary of Anne Boyer

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Anne Alberta Boyer announce her passing on Monday, December 5, 2005. Anne left peacefully to join the love of her life, Barrister Kitchener Boyer, who left us on November 18th, 1989.

Anne was born in Fort Macleod, AB on November 24, 1920 to Selena and John Ironfield and met Barrister when he came there while enlisted in the Canadian Army. After courting her and winning her heart, he had to go overseas. Love letters continued until he came back and they were married on September 26, 1945.

Anne is survived by her three children, Cameron (Charmaine), Beverley (Jim) and Cheryl (Michael); six grandchildren, Jesse, Riley, Brittany, Kyla (Rob), Andrea (Shaun), and Sarah (Kevin); three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Isaac and Ashton; and of course, her furry companions, Benji and Squirt.

She loved her family, taking care of her pets, gardening, and socializing with her friends either at coffee parties in Claresholm or at the Renfrew Seniors Centre where she swam and exercised. For the past twelve years, she has struggled with the after effects of a stroke with patience, dignity and courage. She was our “little trooper” and was such an inspiration to us. We will miss her forever.

On the Heavens
In shining stars,
On the Earth
In tender flowers,
The one you love
Will live forever.
