Obituary of Lisa White
Lisa White of Calgary passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at the age of 91 years.
The journey of this life has ended
Another one begins with the light of love
This tapestry has been woven and completed
The colours are infinite as is my love for you
Through the threads of time and space
I begin again with a new pattern
Each one is unique and special
My needle is the staff of life
The string I use is woven from the voice of God
Its lilting sounds create a joy and happiness
Within my soul and resonate the tranquility of sleep
Yet I awaken with a renewed truth
That all I have done and all I have been is not lost
For it is in your hearts and minds that I now dwell
Cry not for my passing for it is simply another doorway
Taking me closer to the source of all that we are and will be
I am immortal for I am the spirit of love and understanding
Time is fleeting and boundless
I dance with the stars and sing with the planets
I watch the tails of the comets as they pass by
I am as the river flows into the ocean, vast and life affirming
I know all and see all
Winter is over for me, spring has begun again
I will see you again when the shoots of the fresh lilies of the valley
Reach out their slender arms towards the heavens and ring the new day to all
When the trees waked from their slumber
To stretch out their limbs in a loving embrace of the sun
I whisper my love for all of you in the breeze of the spring afternoon
I cry tears of happiness and joy for you at the morning dew of the day
I am everywhere within and nowhere without
Remember me not as I was, but as I am
A daughter, wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother,
A woman, a teacher, a friend, a human vessel of love and light
I am Lisa and I am always with you
Composed by my loving grandson, Ken Paget
