Obituary of Agatha Maria Pelchat

Agatha Pelchat of Calgary left us to join her soul mate Don on Saturday, November 26, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 59 years. Agatha was born in the Netherlands on April 28, 1946. She immigrated to Powell River, BC, moving onto Sardis, BC and settled in Calgary at the age of twenty-one. She had many passions in her life, which included, Inn from the Cold, Parent Patrol, quilting, and curling, as well as being part of the Food Brokerage business for the past thirty years. Agatha was a great contributor to a number of charities through afternoon Bingo and evening Casino adventures. However above all else Agatha loved her family. Agatha is survived by Nick and Judy Schreurs of Williams Lake; Joanne Chung of Vancouver; Anne and Larry Daw of Edmonton; Marion Atwell and Robert Deragon of Calgary; Peter and Julie Schreurs of Calgary; Monica and Peter Glomlein of Prince George; Derek and Lynn Schreurs of Kamloops; Robert and Maureena Schreurs of Greendale; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all of her co-workers past and present; as well as all of those who have had the honour and privilege to have known and loved her. Agatha was predeceased by her brother Bill; father Nick; birth mother Catharina; and recently departed mother Riet (Maria). Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church (321 – 90th Avenue S.E.) on Thursday, December 1, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church (321 – 90th Avenue S.E.) on Friday, December 2, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev.
