Obituary of Florence McCormick

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Florence McCormick, beloved Mother of Bob McCormick. Florence passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Bethany on Thursday November 24th, 2005. She will be dearly missed by her only son Bob McCormick (Kristin). Florence was born in Loverna, SK, moved to and married in Calgary in 1939. Florence was an accomplished pianist spending many hours teaching piano to her pupils. She dedicated many volunteer hours to playing in nursing homes throughout the city. She led the band “The Golden Tones” thru many years of dances and social functions for the Southwood Seniors. Everyone she touched will remember her kind words and generosity. She was predeceased by her loving husband Fred, her Mother Hilma Stenvall, her Father Andrew Anderson, her sister Dagmar, and her brothers Hugo and George.
