Obituary of Kathleen Black East

Kathleen (Kathy) Black East of Calgary passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at the age of 78 years. Kathy was born on March 3, 1927 in Aberdeen Scotland. She retired and moved to Calgary in 1994 and made many close friends at Water Grove Park. Kathy is survived by her children, John (Irene) East of Winnipeg, MB, Donna (Bob) Burns, of Oxbow, SK, Laurie (Bob) Glasser of Calgary and Bob (Kim) East, of Glen Ewan, SK; twelve grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Neil Farquhar, of Lancaster, England; and three sisters, Gloria Robinson, of Vancouver BC, Grace (Ray) Wake and Wilma (Denny) Kirk, all of Oakville ON. Kathy was predeceased by her husband William East in 1981; four sisters; and four brothers. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Friday, November 25, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. Her cremated remains will be interred in the Oxbow Cemetery, Oxbow, SK.
