Obituary of Cyril John Brown

Cyril John Brown (Cy) of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 19, 2005 at the age of 85 years. Cy was born on March 12, 1920 in Lethbridge, AB. He enlisted in the Navel Forces of Canada in 1941 serving in WWII. Cy worked in the film industry for a number of years, moving on to be a successful business man in all his ventures. Cy stayed active in sports, and the Veterans Association, and always made time for his family and friends. Cy is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Norma and Tom Brown, of Calgary, Linda Brown and Edson Phipps, of Edmonton, and Joanne and Rod Sloan, of Qualicum Beach, BC; his sister Ruby Martin; two nephews Larry and Keith Martin; and a niece Suzanne Legros. He was predeceased by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Pudge Brown, in September, 2005.
