Obituary
Obituary of Melanie Ann Coomber
On Wednesday, November 9, 2005, the angels came quietly to take Melanie to her Heavenly home. Melanie faced many challenges and, in spite of these, greeted the world with a beautiful smile.
Melanie was born in Burlington, ON on October 29, 1976. In October 1982, Melanie started school at Emily Follensbee where she met Shirley Haine and in April 1983, she became part of Shirley’s family. She attended Emily Follensbee School for fourteen years and because of the loving care of the staff she looked forward to school every day she was able to attend. For the past several years Melanie has been part of Vantage Enterprises. Accompanied by their caring staff, she was able to attend many activities in Calgary. Her favourite was The Indefinite Arts Society where she created beautiful ceramic and woodworking projects. One of Melanie’s favourite places to be was camping at William Watson Lodge in Kananaskis Country.
Melanie will be lovingly remembered by her “mum” Shirley; four sisters, Brenda and her children Hailey and Joel, Hillary (Jan) and their son Jakub, Amber, and Noelle; brother Barry; and by Shirley’s extended family and friends.
