Condolences
I worked for Romey briefly at his Gulf service station on 10th Street around 1970. He was a polite, kind man, always with a helpful piece of advice. I was a friend of his son Neil and always envied the close relationship they had. My condolences to the Farwell family.
My deepest condolences. I worked for Romey in the seventies at 13 years old, at both gulf stations. I occasionaly think about Romey and as I was just doing that today I googled him (out of the blue) and read of his passing. Very sad. I have always told stories about how the boss from my gas pumping days was such a great guy and had such a huge influence on me. He and I had a ton of great laughs. I also got a few good lectures over the years. Bernice was always great to me, as was Neil and Wayne and Brice Patterson just to mention a very few. I realize now that it was an incredible time and I was extreamley fortunate to be a part of that gas station crowd. As for Romey, he is the one and only and I will truly remember him my entire life. A very sad day but a great collection of memories.
All the best to Bernice and family.
