Obituary of de Bruyn

Jeannette Adriana Maria de Bruyn (nee van Bragt), beloved wife of Gysbert de Bruyn of Calgary, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on November 10, 2005, at the age of 81 years. Jeannette was born in Geldrop, the Netherlands on May 4, 1924. She and her new husband Gysbert immigrated to Calgary in 1952. Jeannette’s life work and her passion was her family. To Bert and Jeannette, married fifty-four years, were born five children. Besides her loving husband, Jeannette is fondly remembered by her children Eric (fiancÚe Barb Stephen), Roland (Wendy), Victor (Anne Marie), Annette (David Lane) and Marlette (Brian Reed), her grandchildren Sarah, Lisa, Cheryl, Julia, Christopher, Curtis and Jonathan, as well as three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by five siblings and her grandson Jack. A Family Graveside Service will take place at Queen’s Park Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. with Chaplain Marlette Reed, Presider.
