Iris devoted her life to her husband, family, church, and community. Her belief in and support for her husband, children, and grandchildren was firm and demonstrated. Iris and Chuck gifted their children and grandchildren with a living example of a loving and committed marriage. Another of her many gifts to her family was her steadfast Christian faith which was at the core of her life. She especially enjoyed working with children and volunteered her teaching talents in the schools of her children, grandchildren, and others, as well as church school. Iris shared her gifts of leadership with the Canadian Girl Guides, Rotary Partners, and in various roles in her church, among others. She was one of the first women to be inducted as a Presbyterian Elder in Canada. The legacy Iris leaves to her husband, children, grandchildren, relatives and friends is one of love, abiding faith, and service. Her memory will be most honoured by following in her footsteps. We miss her very dearly.
