Obituary of Patricia Mae O’Connell

Patricia (Pat) Mae O’Connell (nee Nelson), beloved wife of Warren O’Connell of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2005 at the age of 66 years. Patricia had a love for people. Devoting many hours between both Carewest Royal Park and Sarcee, she was coordinator of “Piccadilly’s” – the tuck shop at Carewest Royal Park. However, her love for volunteering did not stop there. Patricia was a devoted driver for Meals on Wheels and she served as one of the main cooks for Inn from the Cold. She was an active member of St. Laurence Anglican Church as the Treasurer for many years and also participated in the Ladies Craft Group. Patricia had a special love of camping and gardening. Prior to her retirement, she worked for twenty-nine years as Bookkeeper for Arctec Alloys Limited. Besides her loving husband Warren of forty-seven years, Patricia is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Carolynn of Cold Lake, AB and Brian and Ivy of Calgary; a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Glen Dobbs of Innisfail, AB; and four grandchildren, Krista, Kory, Brooke, and Taylor. She is also survived by a brother Bill Nelson and Martine Pankow; and sister Diana Reece. Funeral Services will be held at St. Laurence Anglican Church (5940 Lakeview Drive S.W.) on Thursday, November 10, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. with the Right Rev. J. Barry Curtis and Rev.
