Obituary of Leona Newinger

Leona Newinger of Calgary passed away on Friday, October 28, 2005 at the age of 84 years. Leona was born on April 14, 1921 in Lethbridge, AB. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Don and Lori Newinger, Scott Newinger; her grandchildren Kelsey, Jonathan, and Travis Newinger all of Calgary; her brothers Ernest (Fran) Malacko of Lethbridge, AB, James (Maxine) Malacko of Nelson BC, Edward (Edna) Malacko of New Westminster, BC, and Richard Malacko of Minneapolis, MN, her sisters Jean Strong of Sherwood Park, AB, Doreen (Frank) Fletcher of Fairview, AB, and Ann (Dave) Ruptash of Edmonton, AB; and special friends Ruth Hall of Vancouver, BC, Carol Clare, John and Peggy Buckle, and Eleanor and Roy Rix all of Calgary; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Leona was predeceased by her husband Donald in 1973; her sister Marie in 1928; her brother Gerald in 1999; and her mother Angela in 1984. Funeral Services will be held at St. Matthew’s United Church (2039 – 26A Street S.W.) today, November 2, 2005 at 10:00 am with the Rev. Clinton M. Mooney, Presider.
