Obituary of Martha Margaret Baldwin

Peggie Baldwin was set free from her long struggle with Alzheimer Disease on Thursday, October 27th, 2005 at the age of 78 years. Peggie was born in Toronto, Ontario on December 2nd, 1926. She graduated from Lawrence Park Collegiate and attended the University of Toronto where she completed a diploma in Occupational Therapy in 1947. Peggie was a long time member of the famous Leslie Bell Singers and always loved her association with this marvelous group. She led a long, interesting and productive life, loved to travel, study and was always interested in the world around her. She returned to university later in life, completing a degree in Religious Studies at the University of Calgary in 1995 – the oldest graduate that year. Musician, scholar, equestrian, animal lover, Muskoka cottager, mother and grandmother, she will be very sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Peggie leaves behind her sister and brother; Joan and Alan, former husband Ben; three children and their partners, Kim and Shaunna, Carolyn and Beric and Gordon and Sheila. Her grandchildren, Gareth, Sarah, Scott, Kevin, Nick, Lauren, Cody and William, will all miss their Grammie very much. Peggie has gone now to join those who have journeyed on before. We will all meet her again someday.
