Obituary of Hendrika Law

Hendrika (Hetty) Law beloved wife of George Law passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at the age of 69 years. Hetty was born on October 24, 1935 in the Netherlands. She immigrated to Canada with her family in 1951. She married George in 1960 and they made a home in Toronto, where they raised their two children. In 1984, Hetty and her family moved to Calgary where they have resided since. Hetty and George joined Varsity Acres Presbyterian Church in 1984, where Hetty became very involved. She served on many church committees over the years and made many good friends. She was known for her conscientious attention to detail, reliability and willingness to serve. Hetty was passionate about her family, especially her grandchildren, Sandon and Aleska. She loved spending time with them, showering them with her love and thoughtful gifts. Hetty enjoyed her daily walks, taking family photos, scrapbooking, taking care of her numerous plants, reading, and of course, spending time with her beloved husband, George. Hetty’s gentle nature, willingness to help others, and her kind and thoughtful ways will be greatly missed by all. Besides her loving husband George, Hetty is survived by her children and their spouses, Georgina Law and Kevin Bukvi, John and Susanna Law and her beloved grandchildren Sandon and Aleska Law. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, John and Lou Bonnet of Burnaby, BC.
