Obituary of Thomas John Alyman
Thomas (Tom) John Alyman, beloved husband of Emilie, of Balzac, AB, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 21, 2005 at the age of 46 years while playing one of the many sports he loved.
Tom was born on November 18, 1958 in Temiscaming, Quebec. He attended McMaster University and graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education. He moved to Alberta from Ontario to teach in Fort McMurray where he met his wife, Emilie Chernik. They married in 1988. Throughout his life, Tom was an amazing husband and father as well as an active athlete and coach. He participated in several long distance running events with his family. Tom took part in the 2005 World Masters Games in Edmonton, AB. He was a long standing member of the Knights of Columbus. Tom will be greatly missed by family, friends, colleagues, and his former students.
Besides his loving wife, Tom is survived by his two children Bretton (11) and Tanner (9); his mother Loretta Alyman; his brother and sister-in-law Terry and Sandy Alyman; and his sister and brother-in-law Cheryl Alyman and Tony Demmans, all of Hamilton, ON; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and in-laws. Tom was predeceased by his father Merrel.
Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at the Town and Country Centre, (275 Jensen Drive, Airdrie) on Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Joseph Dephoff SAC, Presider.
