Obituary of Joyce Enid Fennessey

Joyce Enid Fennessey, beloved wife of William (Bill) Fennessey of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at the age of 73 years after a short but brave battle with cancer. Joyce was born and raised in Calgary, and attended Sacred Heart Elementary and St. Mary’s High School. Joyce had an insatiable love for life and spent many happy days at the Glencoe Club and the Calgary Golf and Country Club playing tennis and golf. She loved to socialize with family and friends and spent countless hours with her three grandchildren, who will miss her dearly. Besides her loving husband of forty-nine years, Joyce is remembered by her sons and daughters-in-law Randy and Andrea, Kevin and Wendy; and grandchildren, Robert, Sarah, and Michael. She will also be sadly missed by her sister and brother-in-law, Maurita and Bob Vesey and their children Meghan and Eric, all of Calgary; brothers and sisters-in-law Eric and Anna Mae Fairley of Cardston, AB, and Cyril and Susie Fairley of Sacramento, CA. Joyce will be fondly remembered by her wide circle of friends, many whom she has known for over fifty years. She was predeceased by her brother Gerry Fairley in 2003.
