Obituary of Ada Mary Simpson

Ada Simpson of Calgary passed away suddenly on Friday, October 21, 2005 at the age of 90 years. Ada was born on February 20, 1915 in County Durham, England, and she resided there until 1998 when she immigrated to Calgary. She was an original resident at Bethany Care Society, Sundance on the Green since it opened in 1999. While in England she enjoyed spending time in the dales and in Canada she enjoyed spending time in the mountains. Ada is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Mary and Sydney Chilton of Calgary; four grandchildren, Ted and Denise Chilton, James Chilton, Liz and Steve West, and Jim and Laura Ganum; as well as seven great-grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler, Jake, Charlie, Brendan, Sasha, and Julia. Ada was predeceased by her husband Jack Simpson; her brother Jack Snaith; and her sister Beryl Maughan. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Tuesday, October 25, 2005 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church (7 Sunmills Green S.E.) on Thursday, October 27, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev.
