Obituary of Ben Lamin
Vel Ben Lamin of Calgary passed away at home on Thursday, October 13, 2005 at the age of 60 years.
Vel was born on May 14, 1945 in Wales and moved to Canada in 1982. She was an Executive Assistant at EnCana and its predecessor company. Vel was a caring and loving person who gave of her time and energy to friends, family and charitable associations. She will be remembered for her smile, humour and boundless enthusiasm. Her strength and courage during her illness was inspirational. She was brave and selfless and always gave so much to others. Vel is survived by her sister Hawy, brother-in-law Peter, nephew Richard, niece Becky, sister Meinir and family, and loyal companion little “B”. Grateful thanks to Vel’s medical team at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and her G.P. Dr. L. Silvester. Special thanks as well to her Palliative Care Team, Jo, Irene, Gillian, and Chris.
