Obituary of Alice Coflin

Alice Coflin of Calgary passed away on Friday, October 14, 2005 at the age of 81. Alice was born in Saskatoon, SK, on March 24, 1924. She spent her childhood in Meacham, SK and moved to Saskatoon as a teenager. Alice worked at the White Cross Centre and at the Royal Bank, retiring from the bank in 1988. Alice enjoyed talking about food as well as cooking it, sewing and knitting for her family, and doing needlepoint. She loved being with her family, and her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Alice is survived by Jim and Barb of Ottawa, David and Sharon of Cardiff, Pat and Gerry of Calgary, Karen and Bruce Carscadden of Vancouver, and Mary Jaye (BJ) of Calgary. Alice is also survived by her grandchildren Lisa, Sean, Emma, Martha, Morgan, Sarah, Caitlan, Erin, Claire and Lauren. She is also survived by her sisters Gwen Lee (Bernard) of Calgary and Edna (Joe) Daly of Saskatoon, and brother Jim Hogan of Vancouver; sisters-in-law Henrietta Jones of Saskatoon, Noreen Corrigall (Louis) of Toronto and brother-in-law Ernie Reid of Edmonton, as well as many nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her husband, Allan, and sister, Lorna Reid. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Pius X Catholic Church (2424 – 24th Avenue N.W.) on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church (2424 – 24th Avenue N.W.) on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev.
