Obituary of Eugenia Joseph

Eugenia (Nanay) Joseph went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 13, 2005. Nanay was born in Bulacan, Philippines and immigrated to Canada in 1979 and was employed with Sun Ice. With her frequent travels between Canada and the Philippines, she was able to be close to family in both countries. Nanay will be remembered for her passion for cooking and her unconditional generosity towards others. In addition to her five children in the Philippines, Nanay is survived by her children and their spouses, Lito and Lita Joseph, Ricardo and Thelma (Chit) Joseph, Rolly and Jean Joseph, Yolly and Joel Demapelis, and Zaldy and Rena Joseph, all of Calgary. Nanay will also be greatly missed by her twenty-eight grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Rufino in 1977. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Prayer and Tributes at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church (5340 – 4th Street S.W.) on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev.
