Obituary of Shirley Lynn Anderson

Shirley Anderson, beloved wife of Doug Anderson of Calgary, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2005 at the age of 53 years. Shirley was born on January 4, 1952 in Calgary, AB. She married Doug on August 25, 1973. She loved spending time with her family, traveling, and having the odd drink at the “pub” with friends. She enjoyed volunteering for her children during their school years and with the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Shirley showed enormous strength as a mother, wife, and friend. Besides her loving husband Doug; Shirley is survived by her children and their spouses, Jason Douglas and Madelle Anderson, Jacquelyn Heather and Marc Laflamme, and Dale Richard Anderson; her grandchildren, Jahson and Rahdel; her mother Madeline Slater; her sister Sharon Slater; her brother and sister-in-law Richard and Barb Slater; as well as many nieces and nephews. Shirley was predeceased by her sister Jacquelyn Norma in 1973. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church (10 Prestwick Drive S.E.) on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev.
