Obituary of Sydney Victor Parker

It is with deepest sadness we announce the passing of Sydney on Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at age of 83 years. Sydney is survived by his loving wife Dorothy; sister-in-law Audrey Parrott and her family; various nieces and nephews; his son-in-law Charles McLean (Kathy) and their family; and his many friends. Syd was predeceased by his daughter Cheryl in 2004. Syd served five and a half years with the Military Police for the Canadian Armed Forces during WWII and worked for thirty five years for C.P. Rail retiring as a Railway Engineer. His passion was the game of golf and his golfing friends. He was a long-time member of Shaw-nee Golf Slopes and also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Centennial Branch #285 and various other organizations. To honour the request of Syd, there will be no funeral or memorial service. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of the donor’s choice.
