Obituary of Wifred Leonard Mitzel

It is with deep sadness that the family of Wilfred L.A. Mitzel announces his passing on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at the age of 64. Wilf was born in Saskatchewan on September 27, 1941. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1963 with his Bachelor of Commerce, and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1967. Wilf worked for several companies in the Oil and Gas industry in Calgary, until his retirement in 1990 from Imperial Oil. “Papa” as he was affectionately known, loved jazz; long walks in Fish Creek Park; and most of all his children, Tara, Trevor, Joelle, and especially his grandson Sean, who adored his Papa and will miss their special times together. He was predeceased by his parents and three siblings. Wilf is survived by Margo Mitzel; numerous family members; and special friends.
