Obituary of Jean Livingstone

It is with sadness that we announce that our mother, Jean “Sheena” Isobel Livingstone has gone to join her beloved Harry. Sheena passed peacefully on Friday, October 7, 2005 after a short but courageous battle with cancer at the age of 79 years. Sheena was born on May 8, 1926 in Dunoon, Scotland. She was a thoughtful caring person who was a talented artist and devoted wife, mother and friend. Sheena worked for Dehavillands in Brampton, ON for several years and then chose to remain at home with her children until they were grown. She returned to work as the church secretary at Grace Presbyterian Church and then Varsity Acres Presbyterian Church. As a young adult she was a WREN with the British Navy and was present for the D-Day Invasion. Sheena is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen Livingstone and Ed Kotani of Calgary, and Susan and Ed Robinson of Chelmsford, ON; as well as six grandchildren, Devin and Olivia Kotani, Kimberly and Stephanie Hogan and Bryanna and Adam Robinson. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Kathleen and Jim Dawson of Salisbury, England and her brother and sister-in-law George and Moira Reid of Edinburgh, Scotland. Sheena was predeceased by her husband Harry; and her grandson Justin.
