Obituary of Thomas McWilliam

Thomas (Tom) Charles McWilliam of Calgary, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2005 at the age of 78 years. Tom worked as a heavy-duty mechanic for the City of Calgary Shops where he became maintenance controller before retiring in 1986. Tom’s love of fishing and bird watching drew him to the Water Valley/Dog Pound area where he lived for the past nineteen years. Tom’s indomitable spirit is an inspiration to his family and friends. He is survived by his five children, Pat (Jon) Brehaut of Sherwood Park, Tim (Greta) of Water Valley, Dave (Elsie) of Calgary, Linda (Pat) Jewison of Pittsburgh PA, and Brian (Michele) of Okotoks; eleven grandchildren, Jenn (Darren) Ottmeier, Matt (Shea) Brehaut, Jeff (Janis) McWilliam, Troy Bisson, Jessica, Brad and Sara McWilliam, Kim and Chris Jewison, Megan and Michael McWilliam; and by three great-grandchildren, Ben Ottmeier, Joseph and Vicky McWilliam. Tom was predeceased by his loving wife Franky of thirty-nine years in 1988. A celebration of Tom’s life will take place at the Water Valley Saloon and Roadhouse on Friday, October 7, 2005 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The children welcome family and friends.
