Obituary of Ellen Wolfleg

Our precious and dearest angel, Ajay, was suddenly taken from us on Friday, September 23, 2005. Ajay was born on November 18, 1986, at the Royal Alexander Hospital in Edmonton, AB. She was a very friendly and outgoing person and yet a little shy. She was very much loved by her family and cousins. Ajay began her education at Chief Old Sun School and she was Valedictorian in Grade Nine. She graduated from the Siksika Nation High School in June 2004. (Ajay loved her high school graduation; it was one of the highlights of her life). She was presently attending SAIT in Calgary. In her short life she wanted to accomplish many things. One of her dreams was to correct all the wrongs in the world, and she believed that there must be some good left in the world. If she had a magic wand that’s what she would have done, to make the world a better place to live. Ajay had a big heart and cared about the well-being of people. She especially loved her family and friends; she had no ill feelings towards anyone. She would have wanted family, friends, and community to forgive and to be “In-like” with each other (her word for love). Ajay’s first love was shopping. She loved spending time with her family, eating off Mom, Dad and Buddy’s plates, telling stories, playing cards, going on family trips (especially staying in nice hotels and swimming), watching her favourite movie “Smoke Signals” which she would have watched a thousand times, and beating up her brother Buddy – she was quite strong for a tiny girl. As a child she loved Pooh bear, dressing up, styling her hair, playing store, Barbies and more Barbies, Beanie-Babies, and stuffed animals (with her brother Buddy). She also loved her friends, talking on the phone, getting her picture taken, surfing the internet, laughing, downloading music, going for walks, picking berries and listening to George Strait (especially “She’ll Leave You With A Smile”) and Doris Day’s “Que Sera Sera”. She loved Fruit Loops and Corn Pops, chicken fingers, curly fries, Danone yogurt, peanut butter, strawberries, pineapples, KFC, Caesar salad, Pepsi and water, cheese slices, chewing gum, green tea and lattes, double chocolate chip cookies, stew, Pantene ProV, baby lotion, stealing Dad’s candy, Copenhagen, and Googoom Daylights fried bannock. Ajay also loved writing poems, sports, Indian Days, baking, cooking, and going to concerts. Ajay will be lovingly remembered by her parents Allan and Rosaria Wolfleg; and her brothers and sisters, Buddy Wolfleg, Karlee Wolfleg, Antonia Wolfleg, Allan Adrian Wolfleg, Elvera (Rodney) Wolfleg, Dora Wolfleg, Kim C. Breaker, Tony Wolfleg; and her adopted sister Tashina Good Running. Ajay was predeceased by her sister Verna Joleen Wolfleg; brother Todd Many Guns; grandparents, Matthew Many Guns, Mary Margaret Wolfleg, great-grandparents, Tom and Josette Many Guns, Joe and Jane Little Chief and Lyndon and Dorothy Many Bears; aunties and uncles, Joyce Marie and Darlene Wolfleg, Theresa Yellowfly, Damien Many Bears, Beatrice Poor Eagle, Simon Wolfleg, Noella Low Horn, Philip Little Chief, Tommy Little Chief, and Elizabeth Spring Chief; and her cousins, Wayne (Cowboy) Many Guns and Amber Star Cross Guns,. She also leaves behind numerous friends and relatives, e-buddies, and her dog Darla. We apologize if we may have missed anybody. Wake Services will be held at Allan and Rosaria Wolfleg’s residence (Siksika Nation, AB) on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (Siksika Nation, AB) on Friday, October 7, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev.
