Obituary of Richard Frederick Wallace
Dick Wallace, beloved husband of Darlene of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at the age of 75 years.
Dick was born on August 6, 1930 in Prince Albert, SK. He grew up in the Lethbridge area, where he met his wife of fifty years, Darlene. They came to live in Calgary in 1965. Dick worked as a Truck Driver for many companies and travelled throughout Canada and the USA. Driving was his passion and, even after retiring, Dick enjoyed going for drives. He was blessed to have many friends whom he met with for morning coffee meetings daily.
Besides his loving wife, Darlene, Dick is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Barbara and Murray Cook, Joanne and Greg Lorenzo, and Kelly Wallace, all of Calgary; six grandchildren, Danielle, Stephanie, Melissa, Victoria, Savannah and Jazmine. He is also survived by three sisters, Bernice Wheeler, Ruby Peters and Delia Wallace; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dick was predeceased by his mother Susannah Wallace in 1997.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Thomas United Church (100 Hawkwood Boulevard N.W.) on Monday, October 3, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Roslyn Campbell Presider.
