Obituary of Giovanni Taddeo
Giovanni (John) Taddeo of Calgary beloved husband of Rosaria for sixty-eight years of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at the age of 87 years, after a brief battle with cancer.
John was born on September 20, 1918 in Fossacesia, Italy. John married Rosaria on April 24, 1937 and together they immigrated to Calgary on April 7, 1959. John worked in the construction industry and took pride in attending to his garden and making wine and cherising his family. Besides his loving wife Rosaria, John survived by his children,son Nick and wife Sharon; four grandchildren, Troy, Travis, Brent, and Darcy. He is also survived by a sister, Rita Romano of Toronto, sister-in-law Francis Ambrogiano of Calgary; numerous nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. John was predeceased his three sisters and two brothers.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, September 29, 2005 at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (Corner of 4th Street and Northmount Drive N.W.) on Friday, September 30, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
