Obituary of Kathleen Dawn Crockett

Kathi Crockett, beloved wife of Dave Crockett of Calgary, passed away in the comfort of her home with her husband by her side, on Sunday, September 25, 2005 at the age of 57 years. Kathi was born in Calgary and grew up in Calgary, Salt Lake City, UT, Spokane, WA, and Orofino, ID. While serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, among the Spanish speaking community, in Southern California, she met her future husband Dave, who was also serving as a missionary. Dave and Kathi were married on August 8, 1972 for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple. After her marriage, Kathi unselfishly supported her husband through university and later welcomed two children into the world. Her greatest joy in life was her loving family and she cherished being a wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her family, Kathi loved many things about life. She served faithfully in the Church and community. She had a love for music, a beautiful voice, and will be remembered by those close to her as singing her way through life. She also enjoyed sewing for others and scrapbooking family memories. Although faced with many trials, her deep faith in God made her grateful for her blessings. Her caring heart and listening ear brought comfort and encouragement to all who knew her. Besides her loving husband Dave, Kathi is survived by her son and daughter-in-law David (Carolyn) Crockett of Henderson, NV; her daughter Jill Crockett of Calgary; two granddaughters, Sarah and Madilyn; and a grandson on the way; her father Cal (Jolene) Reber of Auburn, AL; her mother Shirley (Burt) Ross of Cincinnati, OH; and her two sisters, Beverley Reber of Covington KY, and Terilyn (Paul) Vaught of Cincinnati, OH. The family wishes to thank the Calgary Health Region, particularly Berdene Spring, for their tender care during Kathi’s last years.
