Obituary of Ruth Stirling O’Reilly

Ruth O’Reilly (nee Beatty), of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 26, 2005 at the age of 84 years after a short illness. Ruth was born on October 23, 1920 in Brantford, ON. She married William O’Reilly on June 2, 1945 and they moved to Calgary in 1957 where Bill was the Regional Director of C.M.H.C. until his retirement in 1974. Ruth is survived by two sons and a daughter, Larry O’Reilly of Edmonton, AB, Sharon and Barry Jefferies and John and Bonny O’Reilly, all of Calgary; seven grandchildren, Michael and Billy O’Reilly, Shane and Glenn Jefferies, and Lindsay, James and Lisa O’Reilly; and a great-granddaughter Soraya Stewart; as well as her sister Margaret McLean of Ontario. Ruth was predeceased by her husband William O’Reilly in December 1981; and their youngest son Kevin O’Reilly in March 1986. A Celebration of Ruth’s Life will be held at The Club House, Building 1000, Lake Fraser Green S.E.
