Obituary of Michele Gelsi

Michele (Mike) Gelsi beloved husband for fifty-five years of Rosina Gelsi of Calgary, passed away at the Sarcee Hospice on Thursday, September 22, 2005 after a long battle with cancer at the age of 76 years. Mike was born on August 22, 1929 in Rose, Cosenza, Italy, and came to Canada (Calgary) on November 11, 1966. He was employed with Standard General for thirty years. His passions were spending time with grandchildren, soccer, gardening, making wine and a great love for his country he left behind. Besides his loving wife Rosina, Mike is survived by his daughter Carmela Casella, and his son Gennaro Gelsi and his wife Kathryn. He is also survived by his grandchildren Mike, Nancy and Quinn; his sisters Maria Infusino and family, Dora Carnevale and family of Calgary, Gemma Gelsi and family, Rosina Gelsi and family of Italy, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
