Obituary of Zoltan Vass
Zoltan Emerick Vass beloved husband of Barbara Delurey of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at the age of 67 years.
Zoltan was born on October 10, 1937 in Kiskunmajsa, Hungary and came to Canada as a young man in 1956 full of hopes and dreams. Zoltan experienced and number of careers, and especially loved his chosen trade in the drywall industry as a Site Supervisor with DVS. He loved the mountains and hot springs and also enjoyed playing tennis. He was a great gardener and loved flowers, especially roses. He loved people and special days just being with his family and grandchildren, sitting in the back yard enjoying nature’s beauty. Besides his spouse Barbara, he is survived by his children, Darlene and Paul Seguin, Calvin Vass and Jodi Steininger, Lee-Ann Cross; grandchildren, Destin, Bellecia Seguin, Eliza, Madeline Vass, and Jared and Nicole Cross all of Calgary. He is also survived by two sisters, Maca (Mary), Rozsi (Rose); and brother, Pista (Steve) all in Hungary; as well as several nieces, nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Gabor and Jozsi (Joe) as well as his parents Vilmos and Johanna Vass.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, September 26, 2005 at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Ascension Catholic Church (1100 Berkshire Boulevard N.W.) on Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
