Obituary of Irene Penman

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Irene Penman on Thursday, September 22, 2005, in the care of her loving family, at the age of 62 years. Irene was born on June 7, 1943 in Kinglassie, Scotland and immigrated to Calgary with her husband and daughters in 1972. She will be truly missed and always remembered by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Dean Petig and Karen and Rod Anderson; and her two grandchildren, Krista and Shawn Petig. Irene is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Janet and Andrew Ritchie, Agnes and James Sanaghan and Evelyn and Alex Brown; her brother and sister-in-law David and Carol McLean as well as nieces and nephews in both Scotland and Canada. She was predeceased by her husband of forty-two years, John Penman on May 5, 2004.
