Obituary of Marilyn Davidson

Bessie “Marilyn” Davidson (Olive) beloved wife for fifty-five years of Art passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 21, 2005. Marilyn grew up in Stettler, AB and went to the University in Montreal, graduating with her BSC. In 1948, she started work as a Dietician in the Drumheller Hospital. This is where she met Art and they were married in Calgary in 1950. Marilyn continued to work as a dietician and moved to the High River Hospital when Art was transferred that same year. After relocating to Calgary in 1965, Marilyn continued to commute until 1971 when she “retired” and became a Supervisor in Market Research. This kept both Marilyn and Art busy until they retired together. Marilyn touched many lives over the years through “The Couples Club” vacationed at Buffalo Lake, and wintering with the “snowbirds” and we thank each and every one of you who visisted, sent cards and flowers, and prayed for Marilyn’s comfort. Marilyn will be greatly missed by her husband Art, her sister Doreen Downey; sons, John (Brenda), and Ross (Helen); her daughter Sherry (Thomas) Graw; grandchildren, Jennifer ( Greg) Kenney, Michael, Jason, Robyn (Jevon) Sikorski, Stephen, Katelyn, Gwendolyn and Christopher; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Emma, and Noah; as well as a niece, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She was predeceased by her parents Weldon and Edna, and brother Ernie.
