Obituary of Hans Kuhlwein

Hans Kuhlwein of Calgary passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2005 at the age of 69 years. Hans was born in Viernheim, Germany on January 2, 1936 and immigrated to Calgary in 1953. For forty-seven years he was a long-haul Owner Operator, most recently with Tri-line. Hans was a dedicated husband to Trudy; father to Kevin (Erika) Kuhlwein, Christine (Mark) Giles, Barbara Petrunia, Allen Kuhlwein, Corrie Brown, Tim McLean, and Jerry (Jana) Brown; and grandfather to Jennifer, Josh, Luke, Devon, Austin, Bradley, Lisa, Sara, Cassandra, Daniel, Taylor, Brianne, Taryn, and Nolan. He was also brother to his sisters, Inge Geider and Renata (John) Gradishar. Hans will be sadly missed by Trudy’s parents Al and Winn Richards; her sister Christene; his nieces Elvira (Robin) White, Sandra (Jurgen) Bahr and Kari Gordon; nephew Rob (Maureen) Gradishar; and numerous relatives in Germany. Hans was predeceased by his parents Frank and Katharina Kuhlwein; and brothers-in-law, Egon Sadilek, Frank Geider and Colin Gordon.
