Obituary of Giuseppina Serli

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Giuseppina Serli. Giuseppina Serli passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2005 at the age of 80 years old. Giuseppina was born on Monday, November 25, 1924 in Marigliano, Italy. Nonna lived most of her life in Calgary. Her greatest passion was spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed travelling, walking, and Sunday dinners with her family. She was a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Sandra Palladino and her son-in-law Ciro Palladino of Calgary; her three grandchildren, Margaret (John) Richard, Gina (Quinto) DeSantis, Vittorio (Leonora) Palladino; four great grandchildren, Francesco, Nicholas, Gabriella and Tatianna all of Calgary; three brothers and one sister; Gabriele (Angelina) Buonincontri and family of Calgary, Tomaso (Deisa) Buonincontri and family of Italy, Immacolata (Antonio) Cerciello and family of Calgary, Ralph (Giuseppina) Buonincontri and family of Calgary, and as well, numerous nephews and nieces both here in Canada and in Italy. Giuseppina was predeceased by her husband Vito Serli in 1985, her son Luigi Serli in 1963, and her sister Filomena Buonincontri in 1976. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev.
