Obituary of Marrigje Aafje Johanna Pitstra

Born Marrigje Aafje Johanna Dijkshoorn on March 30, 1943 in the Netherlands, Mar passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at her home in Calgary. With Mar’s passing we lose a mother, wife, aunt, Oma, sister, friend and neighbour. An award winning gardener and bird lover, Mar’s nature was to nurture and grow…plants, animals and people. Mar leaves to mourn her husband of thirty-seven years Willem Pitstra; daughter and son-in-law Jacomina (Jackie) and Doug Burke; daughter Wilhelmina (Willie); son Peter; grandson Matthew; as well as family in Canada, the Netherlands and abroad.
