Obituary of Barb Clooten

Barb Clooten (nee Beitel), beloved wife of Calvin, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 39 years. Barb was born on June 16, 1966 in Moose Jaw, SK. She moved into her dream home, that she shared with her soul mate Calvin and her most precious treasures, Stephanie and Matthew. Barb was a dedicated employee of seventeen years with Deloitte and Touche before she left to start her own business – Coffee Time. She sold that business to pursue her life-long dream of building their dream home with “her” mountain view. Barb led an active life, including bowling, softball and dancing. After their children were born, she became involved in the Temple Play School Program to be closer to them. Besides her loving husband and soul mate Calvin, Barb is survived by their daughter Stephanie (eight); their son Matthew (six); her father Doug Beitel of Moose Jaw, SK; her mom Joan Wright and step dad Roy Sitler of Calgary, AB; sisters Heather (Patrick) and Denise; step brothers Trevor and Shane; her favourite uncle Chris and his family; as well as numerous relatives and friends. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Friday, September 16, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Saturday, September 17, 2005 at 12:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
