Obituary of Roger Lorne Dingman
Roger Dingman, beloved husband of J’Neene Dingman, departed suddenly from this world on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at the age of 68 years.
Roger was born on October 18, 1936 in St. Catharines, ON, and grew up in the Niagara Falls region where, in his teens, he met his wife to be J’Neene. They married in 1960, started a family and in June 2005 they celebrated their forty-fifth wedding anniversary. Roger started his career in the late 1950’s as a Draftsman and went on to work as an Electrical Systems Consultant serving the oil and gas industry. Roger found great satisfaction in his work and had no desire to slow down or retire even after serving his industry for more than forty-five years. He moved his family to Calgary in 1974 to better pursue his career path, and aside from a two year stay in Orange County, California, he lived and worked in Calgary for the remainder of his life. Together with J’Neene, Roger enjoyed raising and training dogs for competitive showing, some of which ranked as champions and some as beloved pets. He will be remembered as a hardworking man who was dedicated to his family and his church. Roger was a supportive and loving husband and father and will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
Roger is survived by his loving wife J’Neene; daughter Andrea Team of Carlsbad, CA; son Mark Dingman of Denver, CO; and four grandchildren, Tess, Kelly, Rory, and Colin Team. He was predeceased by his father Lorne; mother Mable; and brother Gary, all of Niagara Falls, ON.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church (1414 Shawnessy Boulevard S.W.) today, September 15, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
